Some people can never accept to be just ordinary and average, to eat, sleep, clothe and behave like everybody else. Well, scientists are between those people, and it’s well known the ingenuousness is just one step away from the madness. Have a look at these photos of unusual and innovative jackets and see for yourselves what have they come up with this time. A jacket is no good if it only serves it primary purpose! Who on Earth needs a jacket that will only keep you warm? A true brainiac would pick out something from this collection to wear .

Solar powered jacket

This jacket has solar cells and collects solar energy that then turns it into pure electricity. This is the cleanest most viable form of renewable energy available, so while charging your MP3 player, cell phone or any other gadget, you’re even thinking green and taking care about the environment! The only problem seems to be that there isn’t too much sun in the winter.

Massage jacket

If you’re more on the hedonistic side, and you prefer to be relaxed all the time, the Massage Jacket is the right thing for you! And the best thing about it is that it’s made for two! In has pressure sensitive sensors embedded inside that give signals to a some special video games. So, that means that while you’re getting a massage your friend will be enjoying in interesting video game. I only wonder how would the massage look like in some tense combat scenes.

The Blu Jacket by Lunar Design is a design concept that uses flexible organic e-paper to show your mood, subway or traffic maps or even video advertisements.The idea of electronic material for clothes is very futuristic, but if this jacket is actually constructed, it will cost a lot of money.The possibilities are endless. If someone asks you directions, you could be able to project a map onto your jacket through it’s flexible display and give directions. Or you can get paid for displaying advertisements on yourself.

MP3 Jacket

This jacket has a sensitive pad and a small display on its sleeve, so you can easily adjust your MP3 player or FM Tuner and listen to your favorite songs while looking extremely silly! Why would anyone wear small, and discrete MP3 player that no one would notice, when on the other hand you can wear this alien looking suit and be absolutely noticed and remembered where ever you go?

Now, here goes one that I would actually like if people started wearing it. Smoking Jacket is specially designed and has a specific “lungs” that purify the air. A smoker should blow the smoke into the jacket and the lungs would process and clear the air and that way you will be able to breathe pure air whiles talking to a smoker and not to chalk in his cigarette smoke.

Bored Jacket is a bit silly in my opinion. It’s covered in Velcro strips, and that way when you come close to someone or accidentally touch somebody who is wearing the same jacket (I’m sure the town is full of people wearing this things), the jackets will grab on each others. I’m not actually sure what the point of all this is, but who cares. The important thing is to be different.

Are you sick and tired of pulling down your regular jacket, while hugging or doing anything else that involves rising your arms? If so, you need a Hug Jacket.
