Hugh Hefner’s Playboy
Posted on 24. Nov, 2009 in Featured, People
In 1962 in Illinois in the ordinary American family a boy was born who was named Hugh Marston Hefner. After school and regular army service he entered the University of Chicago. After graduation from university he started working as a copywriter for Esquire. The fee of $ 5, which he was receiving for the material was insufficient to meet Hef’s ambitions and soon, putting their furniture and borrowing money from 45 (!!!) people Hef collected $ 8,600 and invested it in his project - Stag Magazine, which graced the cover of a nude Marilyn Monroe. His further biography became one of the most stunning examples of the American dream and world renowed. Hefner’s life is so evenful and many-sided that even Hef himself won’t be able to fully describe it. Nevertheless founder of Playboy decided to do it in a very typical for him manner - telling the story in the language of photography and illustrations. The project turned out to be volume and interesting - 6 volumes, 3360 pages packed in a plexiglass box. The only upsetting thing is that circulation of this book has 1500 copies, but each one of them is signed by the author personally.
