Jewelry from the remnants of the dead

The design student, Anna Schwamborn came up with an idea for this creepy project. She makes jewelry from people’s cremated ashes and hair. So, if you wanna always have something from a person you loved, you can address to her and you’ll get some of her “Mourning Objects”. I’m not really sure if there are many people who would like to have and wear this kind of jewelry. In my opinion it’s scary as hell!

These designs are unusual yes, but memorial jewellery is apparently quite popular with many people. There is a website called Lay to Rest, which I am quite familiar with that has a quite extensive range of jewellery called ashes jewellery. Can’t say it is my cup of tea either, but people seem to ask for this type of thing often, seems it makes the transition easier?
