Has anyone studied the long term impact of tattoo ink in people’s system? I worry about the future health of people with tattoos.

Karen–Tattoos are millennia old. If you’re not using a dangerous substance for ink and you’re not allergic to the ink, you’re probably okay. The long-term effects are either extremely mild or extremely rare. Whilst nothing is guaranteed, I think it’s safe to say that tattooing is a fairly safe practice.

Some of them are definitely Photoshoped

Some of these aren’t even tattoos. For example, the atlas is photoshopped and the girl on the man’s back is simply painting. As for the final one, that’s a fireman’s back and the names are his friends’ that died on 9/11.
Karen, there has been nearly no reported illness caused by tattoo ink and as long as you get ink done in a professional studio and take care of it for about a week, you’ll be just fine.

I’ve seen the globe multiple times on body painting sites, so I don’t think that one is a tattoo, but the rest of them are cree-py!

Danny Boy - new tattoos have a shine about them as well. You have to keep them lubricated so they heal correctly. I didn’t spot any temporaries (and where would one find a temp that was so unusual and large), but I definitely agree that there are a few photoshops, drawings, and paintings in the list.

Anyhow, you have omitted my friend who has a tattoo of a vagina on his head, so your list is sadly incomplete.

The penultimate one is the best by far…
And ack, that doesn’t make it a good tattoo.

The face onces kill me…. There should be a law against it! I love tattoos but too much of anything is a BAD thing. Most of these are a Bad idea in my opinion.

First of all, like 5 of these are not tattoos, and are featured on other sites, and not as tattoos.

Second, there are like 10 on here that are not really bizarre. They are normal.

Combined with the ones that are not tattoos, makes this list stupid.
